My Bike is a 2005 Galaxy Blue in March of 06, at the time I owned a 93 FJ & was looking to buy another FJ @ the import centre in Brisbane. I went there to buy 1 he'd judt imported into the country with less then 10,000. When I turned up said sorry Mate cant get it out as the engineer is here to do the compliance on a couple of machines, can't disturb him, I left in disgust & went across teh road to the Yamaha dealer (my mate had headed over there to buy a new set of gloves.

Walked in the door & almost fell over, here is 2 FJRS sitting there,mine and a 2006 @ $23990 & the 1 I bought @ $18490, no questions asked , said too the saleman " I'll have that now thanks!" rang the trouble & strife & said "Ive bought a new bike"., "yeah yeah" was the answer "you'd better organise your own finance". "Already done Dear pick the new girl up on Saturday!"

My 3rd new bike & by far the best piece of machinery I've ever owned but as with all new machines they need some fine tuning

11& 12 Extension pegs for Rider & Passenger ( Motorcyclelarry's)

13 Seat re-done in in leather & hi-density foam

14 Wild bill highway pegs with the 4" entensions( to get legs around fairing)

15 power plug under seat for air matress

16 G2 throttle

17 throttle spring backed off 1 turn

18 Iridium Plugs

Tyres

ran the originals mez4 till 17,250k's & were absolutely stuffed

2nd set were "Shinko's" Ultra soft on the front & soft on the rear (worst tyre have ever had, never never never again) 9,195K's

3rd set are Pirrelli Stradas in 1 word FANTASTIC

1st service done by the dealer where purchased but after watching what they didn't do told them straight that it would never darken their door step again for a service, has been back for several re-calls & 1 warranty job but have been watched very carefully!

oil changed every 5,000 K's Shell advance oil plus other service items

Complete backend been out to re-grease all points cause the factory use very little @ 20,000

have always run Premium Fuel

now have 29,000k's which has included 2 trips to Phillip Island & this years Ulysses AGM, pulled trailer to Phillip Island 2up & averaged about 16k's to the litre
