This is one of Australia's best known rides, period. The beauty of this loop, is that it is very short, only 220km. The return journey to Anglesea, from Melbourne (as a starting point), is about 220km also. It is a good ride. The towns, such as Lorne, are wonderful and the scenery is as good as you get! I would certainly recommend starting fresh from Anglesea and then you can travel this loop twice in a day easy, should you not be stopping for the obligatory photo opportunities!
